my last holiday

Last holiday my family and I went to visit one of my aunts in Lidcombe. We hadn't seen our aunty for several years. We arrived there at 10am in the morning. She was very happy and surprised to see us . We talked about our country and the good times she had with my mum.

After that, aunty and I started cooking and my daughters played with her granddaughters. My uncle took my husband to the markets because he had been Australia for only two months and he was very happy to hear about his family.

Suddenly my aunty's daughter and sons came to see aunty. They were very happy to us after 15 years! We had a great lunch as one family together after several years. This was a fabulous one week holiday for us with my aunty, uncle and cousins.

We really enjoyed this holiday. It was like our country, together as a one family.

I am Anne. I am from Sri-Lanka. I came to Australia with my youngest daughter for a better life. I had to wait for several months to sponsor my husband and oldest daughter. They arrived in Australia in the early part of November 2008. I am very happy with my family.

In the mean time I have succesfully completed Certificate 1 in ChildCare and Senior First Aid. I wouldlike to be a good Child Carer.
